Carbon Wars

Amongst the delegates to the climate conference will be several thousand lobbyists representing many of the world's most noxious companies. Whether it is Shell, Siemens or Monsanto, their representatives will be there, ensuring that the climate treaty is right for their business.

Carbon Wars is two weeks of direct action to redress the balance. Two weeks of anti-carbon-guerilla. Information will be gathered and collected centrally, which action groups can then use in whatever way they choose.

Affinity groups are small groups of about 5 up to 15 activists. They know what they want, they know each others strong and weak spots and they sure know how to have their fun. Affinity groups are autonomous, i.e. each group comes up with their own action, whether or not they want to participate in other actions. Meetings between affinity groups about communications, safety measures and legal stuff will take place daily. Information, workshops, affinity group training and other support will be available throughout the two weeks. So, if you are planning on coming on your own or as part of a small affinity group then it will be possible to find other people who are interested in similar actions as you.
